THE MISSION OF ROMANIA.

For many of us, nutrition has never crossed our minds. That’s because we’ve always had it. But for orphans in Romania it’s a different story. Every 6 seconds malnutrition steals another child’s life. Fortunately, this generation is grasping the fact that they can make a difference, and with that comes great change. We see the need and we fill it, that’s the life-changing experience a mission provides. Meet Heather.

Hiya, my name is Heather Humphrey. I'm currently working on becoming a Registered Nurse, then hoping to become a Physicians Assistant. My family and friends have graciously been the most amazing people I have ever met. I have an increasing love for books, learning, my dogs, and "going green." My passion and infinite love for my savior, Jesus Christ, has never subsided but I've strayed from church, looking passionately for a place to call home. I take pride in everything I do, and the courage to learn new things. I favor professional sports, and I enjoy partaking in being the biggest fan. I decided a young age that I wanted to change the world, and impact it. That's when I decided to became a Physician's Assistant, and provide indescribable health care to everyone I come in contact with. I will always remember my past, live for today and be better for tomorrow.

In Heather's words.

I've had an opportunity to see South Africa when I was younger, but decided at the time it wasn't right. I heard about Romania and confirmed that this would be best thing and the greatest thing I would encounter. I have love for the world and I'm ready to see all parts of it. Every experience has definitely impacted my life, and I'm ready to experience the little lives of Romania and make my mark on them, as they do the same. I see it as I am capable of receiving proper nutrition then what it stopping the rest of the world from doing the same. I indulged in life's better things, while countless amount of kids, starve. I want to be able to deliver every ounce of help, smiles and prayer that I can possibly deliver. With my power of prayer, my willingness to help, my heart to care, I believe the difference I can make can be something impacting and encouraging.

Goal and progress.

My goal is $2999 and I'm currently working a part-time job while finishing an Medical Assistant certification.

Fundraising efforts.

I've decided to help out family members with chores, yard work and car washing to help me get all funds needed for my tour. Also writing letters to family and friends explaining my reason for the tour, and the knowledge I plan on learning.
